Waking up...

So much to type, so little battery power left...

I gave blood on Thursday for the first time ever; I wondered what it would be like and I'd pretty much run out of excuses.  It wasn't bad actually, and I'll probably do it again in a few months.  After that, I went out with folks from my old team; we went to The Parlor, a billiards bar in Bellevue... It's the type of invitation that I turned down for years straight without even really thinking about it.  It was a lot of fun, and I don't know what was going on in my head that I always turned down such invites in the past.  Microsoft has a lot of really interesting folks working for it, but with a few exceptions, I never interacted with them socially.  Strange.

It's been a really interesting time since I left for Barcelona; I've been spending a lot less time at work, and a lot less time vegging and geeking out.  I don't know where it's all leading, but so far, I'm enjoying the adventure.
